چکیده

Background & Objective: Lymphovascular tumoral invasion is a typical histopathological feature of gastric carcinomas and supports the recognition high-risk patients for recurrence. We aimed to study CD31 expression in diverse subtypes show its association with histopathologic findings carcinoma assess prognosis. Methods: This cross-sectional was conducted on 40 established adenocarcinoma from radical gastrectomy. The were classified according pathology assessments. Tumoral tissues assessed by immunohistochemical staining expression. Malignant behavior estimated evaluations. Results: positivity described 23 (57.5%) all evaluated patients. assessment tumor features presented no significant between patients’ age, sex, site, size, grade stage, carcinoma, perineural invasion, also lymphovascular (P>0.05).Conclusion: makes valuable additional evidence that might be useful detect at high risk recurrence, who could candidates more supplementary therapies. However, our society, did not any aggressive this tumor.

CT volumetry for gastric adenocarcinoma: association with lymphovascular invasion and T-stages

Purpose To determine whether gross tumor volume of resectable gastric adenocarcinoma on multidetector computed tomography could predict presence of lymphovascular invasion and T-stages. Results Gross tumor volume increased with the lymphovascular invasion (r = 0.426, P < 0.0001) and T stage (r = 0.656, P < 0.0001). Univariate analysis showed gross tumor volume could predict lymphovascular inv...

Nuclear factor-κB1 expression levels in human gastric adenocarcinoma

NF-κB pathway is a link between inflammation and cancer and is involved in cellular responses to different stimuli. Gastrointestinal lumen is exposed to many inflammatory agents such as foods, free radicals and bacterial or viral antigens. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the possible role of NF-κB1in gastric adenocarcinoma. To detect the relative level of NF-κB1transcript, total RN...

Detection of tumour lymphovascular space invasion using dual cytokeratin and CD31 immunohistochemistry.

BACKGROUND Lymphovascular space invasion (LVSI) is an important step in the complex process of tumour metastasis. Various methods have been used in the past to improve the histological detection of LVSI. AIMS To develop a sensitive immunohistochemical method for the detection of LVSI. METHODS Paraffin wax blocks from 108 patients who had undergone hysterectomy for stage I endometrial cancer...

mucin profile expression in gastric adenocarcinoma

background the process of neoplastic transformation in the stomach has been reported to be associated with decreased expression of normal mucins of the gastric mucosa and denovo expression of mucins that are normally expressed in other organs. this association may be used as a means to bring new insights into biologic behavior and genetic pathways in the development of gastric cancer. there are...

Evaluation of PRR11 gene expression changes and its relationship with tumor size in patients with gastric adenocarcinoma

Introduction: Gastric cancer is one of the most common gastrointestinal tract neoplasms. Because of its invasion, and nonspecific symptoms and signs, the disease is often diagnosed at an advanced stage with short survival. PRR11 participates in the initiation and progression of lung cancer and breast cancer by regulating important genes involved in cell cycles and tumorigenesis. In this researc...
